Today's Tip
The Oxygen cells are the heart of any rebreather and need to be checked before any dive and more so if they have been
sitting for any period of time.
Always ensure they are reading within the operating range of 13.5 to 8.5 millivolts in air (21% O2) and that they are
reading correctly at 100% O2 before diving.
If in doubt calibrate the unit and verify each cell is reading correctly.
When diving after a calibration always perform a "Linearity Check" and a "Cell Check" to confirm no cell is current limited
and reading correctly.
If a cell doesn't perform as it should or is not within specs.....CHANGE IT OUT!!
